Governor Appoints Morgan Student to Juvenile Grant Planning and Review Council

Congratulations to Morgan’s Marcus Bennett!

Governor Larry Hogan has appointed Morgan State University student Marcus Bennett to the Juvenile Grant Planning and Review Council. Bennett is a junior at Morgan majoring in Sociology with a minor in Political Science.

“I am honored to serve the citizens of Maryland and represent Morgan State University,” said Bennett. “I have always believed in fighting for what is right. I want everyone to always believe in themselves, and always lead with courage, work with purpose, and act with kindness.”

Governor Hogan, in his appointment letter to Bennett, said, “I know we will succeed in our goal to make a positive difference for all Marylanders, especially with your assistance and support.”

Bennett joins other members currently serving on the state’s board in advising the governor and legislature on issues pertaining to programs and policies that best serve the interest of youths in Maryland.

Bennett’s term as a member of the Juvenile Grant Planning and Review Council expires in 2018.
