Indranil Goswami, Ph.D. Receives NSPE Engineering Education Excellence Award

This past June, at the National Society for Professional Engineers (NSPE) Annual Conference, in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Indranil Goswami, a lecturer and graduate coordinator in Morgan’s Department of Civil Engineering, was presented with the 2016 NSPE Engineering Education Excellence Award.

The national award recognizes university faculty who have demonstrated the ability to connect engineering education with professional practice in addition to maintaining a distinguished record of teaching, scholarship and publication in the field of engineering. Recipients also receive a cash award.

Dr. Goswami has been a member of Morgan’s Civil Engineering faculty since 1991. He specializes in structural engineering, specifically bridge engineering, and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, primarily in the area of structural mechanics, analysis and design.

Congratulations to Dr. Goswami of the School of Engineering for his advancement of the engineering profession and the education of Morgan students!
