Morgan Associate Professor Named to Maryland’s Top 100 Women

LoreceEdwardsThe Daily Record has named Morgan’s Dr. Lorece V. Edwards one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women of 2016. Edwards is associate professor of the School of Community Health and Policy and the Director of the Center of Sexual Health Advancement and Prevention Education (SHAPE).

Edwards was chosen from among 350 nominees. She will be honored during an event later this month at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

“Maryland’s Top Women 100 honorees are exemplary citizens, committed to their communities, creasing change and growing the next generation of leaders through mentoring,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “This year’s honorees also share an amazing talent for balancing the many facets of their lives while also serving as outstanding leaders. The Daily Record is pleased to honor them.”

David WilsonSince 1996, The Daily Record has recognized Maryland’s outstanding professional, community leadership and mentoring achievements. The publication recently recognized Morgan President David Wilson as an Influential Marylander. It is the second time Dr. Wilson has been honored with this award over the past 6 years. The award is recognition of those who have helped to positively shape their communities.
