Morgan Screenwriting and Animation Department Promotes Maryland Film Industry

Morgan State University’s Screenwriting and Animation (SWAN) faculty and students in conjunction with the Digital Media Center (DMC), recently produced the 4th annual fundraising video for the Maryland Film Industry Coalition (MFIC), a non-profit organization formed to boost Maryland’s competitiveness in the film and television industry.

The video was premiered to a full house at the Suburban Club of Baltimore County for the Reel to Real Party on Saturday, October 19. The theme of the event and the video was in keeping with the MFIC slogan, “Reel Incentives bring Real Film Production to Maryland.” The production gave SWAN students exposure to behind-the-scenes work on current shows being produced in Maryland including “House of Cards,” where SWAN senior, Alicia Agramonte, has worked as a production assistant.
