BALTIMORE, Md. - A total of 15 members of the Morgan State football team were named to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) 2016 All-Academic Team, as announced by the league. 156 student-athletes across 11 teams earned recognition.
The MEAC recognizes student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, including sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as transfer student-athletes, who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year.
Senior
Greg Gibson (Houston, Texas) tops the list for the Bears, along with fellow seniors Willie Gillus III (Suffolk, Va.),
Grayling Harrison (Baltimore, Md.),
Cornelius Middleton (Philadelphia, Pa.), and
Arthur Dukes III (Ypsilanti, Mich.).
The junior class that made the list included
Jai Franklin (Clinton, Md.), Cravon Rogers (Houston, Texas),
Dushon David (Upper Marlboro, Md.) and
Brandon Dunston (Washington, D.C.).
Cooper Clarkin (Boston, Mass.),
Maurice Lewis Jr. (Hyattsville, Md.) and Adrian Allen (Baltimore, Md.) represent the sophomore class, while freshmen
Joel Chiaghanam (Riverdale, Md.),
Jabari Whyee (Baltimore, Md.) and
Brandon Womack (Baltimore, Md.) round out the team.
