BALTIMORE (WBFF) More than 1,200 incoming freshmen and their families participated in Morgan State University's annual "Move in Day," on Saturday.
The university says that the day is the first opportunity new students were given to move into one of the seven residence halls on campus. Move in Day was also an opportunity for the Morgan community to get to know the university's new scholars by serving as volunteers and helping them with their move into the residence halls.
Morgan's President Dr. David Wilson was there to help new students put their belongings in their rooms. The majority of students reportedly moved into Blount Towers where nearly 75 percent of the residents are incoming freshmen.
Morgan's returning students (sophomores, juniors and seniors) begin moving in on Saturday. Classes for the 2018 fall semester officially begin on August 20.
