Morgan State choir performs black national anthem at every concert

The black national anthem — “Lift Every Voice and Sing” — is a familiar song in most African American households.

The song begins with a call for hope: “Lift every voice and sing. Till earth and heaven ring. Ring with the harmonies of liberty.”
