Morgan State freshman awarded Thurgood Marshall College Fund scholarship from McDonald’s

A first-generation college student at Morgan State was awarded a $10,000 scholarship from a partnership between McDonald’s and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.

Quamir Payton, a freshman musical theater major, received the Inspiration Celebration Scholarship during a stop in the McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour. Payton was presented his check in front of 5,000 people at the Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral in Austell, Ga. on July 13.
