mdasla2017_20On April 19, it was an excellent night for the Morgan State University Landscape Architecture program. Several students received awards/recognition at the Maryland American Society of Landscape Architects (MDASLA) Awards:

2017 University Olmsted Scholar (Morgan) — Samuel Quick
2017 Maryland ASLA Student Scholarship ($1000) — Samuel Quick
2017 Maryland ASLA Student Fellowship ($2000) — Chris Schoenster
Presentation of, and Recognition for, 2016 Maryland ASLA Student Fellowship — Abigail Leonard
2017 ASLA Student Honor Award (Morgan) — Ashley Jones

This was a great showing to the professional community! It was also fabulous to see MSU School of Architecture and Planning graduates, Barbara Hopkins, President of MDASLA, and Scott Rykiel, Principal at MahanRykiel, whose firm won major awards during the evening.
