MSU Student-Athlete Awarded MEAC Post-Graduate Scholarship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 29, 2017)–For the eighth year, the NCAA is inviting more than 230 current student-athletes, NCAA scholarship and grant recipients, all with an interest in working within the sports industry, to the Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis June 1-4.

A committee from within the NCAA membership selected one student-athlete from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) to attend and Morgan State’s Jada Boyd was selected. The honor comes, as Boyd was also selected as the female recipient of the MEAC’s post-graduate award scholarship in the amount of $5,000.

Boyd, who majored in Physical Education – Pre-Professional Physical Therapy and graduated with a 3.958 GPA, has been admitted to the Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy at Duke University, where she will begin classes in the fall.

“We are extremely proud of Jada, all that she has accomplished athletically and academically,” said Morgan State Director of AthleticsEdward Scott. “To be awarded the MEAC Post-Graduate Scholarship and to be selected to the Career in Sports Forum speaks to her abilities. Jada is a tremendous ambassador for the athletic department as well as the entire Morgan State University.”
