Morgan State University Choir Tours the ‘Old Country’ Performing in England and Scotland

The Morgan State University Choir is currently traveling throughout the United Kingdom (UK) as part of a six-date concert tour. The Choir, led by director, Dr. Eric Conway, is slated to deliver a lively mix of gospel songs, spirituals (including one arranged by Bob Chilcott), and excerpts from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, and Leonard Bernstein’s Mass. In addition, the Choir will debut several aptly added selections to its performance repertoire from the legendary UK band, The Beatles.

The full tour, which spans May 19-30, includes performances at Chester Cathedral (05/24/2019), The Bramall, Birmingham (05/25/2019), St. George’s Chapel, Windsor (05/27/2019), Battersea Power Station (05/27/2019), and Gresham Centre (05/28/2019).

Keep up with the group’s daily excursions, performances, and experiences traveling the UK through Dr. Conway’s daily blog posts.
