Morgan graduate Sharon Pierce, who earned a Doctor of Education in Urban Educational Leadership in 2001, was recently named as the new president of Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) in Minnesota. Prior to being selected for MCTC’s top leadership role, Pierce served as vice president for academic affairs at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland, since 2010. Her appointment at MCTC becomes effective July 1, 2016.
