Newson-Horst Named New Liberal Arts Dean

Morgan State University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Adele S. Newson-Horst as the next Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Newson-Horst currently is a Professor of English at Missouri State University. She has had an illustrious career holding positions in academic administration at Missouri State, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, University of Michigan-Flint, and Florida International University. Dr. Newson-Horst earned her Ph.D. in American Literature from Michigan State University.

Dr. Newson-Horst will begin the position as Dean of the College of Liberal Arts on July 1, 2011. Morgan State University would also like to take this opportunity offer our sincere thanks to Dr. M’bare N’gom for his excellent service as Interim Dean of the College this spring.
