Morgan State Earns Four Nominations for 2013 HBCU Awards

Morgan State University earned nominations in four categories for the third-annual HBCU Awards, to be held June 28 on the campus of Jackson State University. The university will compete with historically black colleges and universities throughout the nation for awards in communications, academics, student organizations and alumni affairs.

MSU’s earned nominations in the following four categories for excellence or positive earned media coverage during the 2012-13 academic year.

Best Student Organization – MSU Honda Campus All-Star Challenge Team – The HCASC team captured its second-consecutive national championship in the annual HBCU quiz challenge this spring.

Best Business SchoolThe Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management – The School’s Entrepreneurial Development and Assistance Center earned regional coverage for its annual youth entrepreneurship conference.

Best National Alumni AssociationMSU National Alumni Association

Winners will be announced on June 28 at the awards ceremony. The awards are presented by the Center for HBCU Media Advocacy, Inc.
