The School of Architecture and Planning’s (SA+P) Graduate Program in Landscape Architecture received full accreditation when reviewed during the Spring 2015 semester. The review examined the curriculum, instructional delivery, learning outcomes, and student success based upon numerous standards and best practices set forth by the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board, a branch of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Below can be found the official language granting accreditation to the program:
The Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB) at its July 17-18, 2015 meeting granted accreditation for a period of six (6) years to the course of study leading to the first professional MLA degree at Morgan State University. This status is subject to review of annual reports and maintenance of good standing. Accreditation is awarded on a time-certain basis. The six-year period of accreditation ends June 30, 2021. Accordingly, the MLA program is next scheduled for a review during the spring of 2021.
