Architecture Professor Wins AIA Design Award

IMG_6821For the second consecutive year, Assistant Professor Brian Grieb and his design practice, GriD architects have been awarded a design award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) West Virginia Chapter.

This year’s award winning project, Highland House, was a modest renovation and addition to a cabin located Upper Tract, West Virginia, co-designed with his firm’s partner, Alistair Dearie.  GriD architects transformed a deteriorating cabin into a house with a soaring new roof structure to increase natural light & ventilation while providing new spacial opportunities within the original building footprint.

You can check out more information and images about this project at www.gridarchitects.com.

Congratulations to Assistant Professor Brian Grieb and his firm!
