Morgan President David Wilson recently visited the SEED School of Maryland, where he spoke to young men and women about the importance of focused academic scholarship and relentless determination in order to achieve success in life and the classroom. As a part of his visit, each class adopted an institution of higher learning and Dr. Wilson was beyond pleased to meet with the young men of “Morgan House.”
The public college-preparatory boarding school, founded by the SEED Foundation, sits on 52 acres in Southwest Baltimore. Over 300 students from grades 6 – 9 live and study on the school’s grounds on weekdays, returning home to their families for a weekend visit. According to school administrators, the SEED School of Maryland boasts a 95 percent conversion rate of graduates pursuing degrees at four-year colleges and universities.
