Dr. Pamela Scott-Johnson, chair of the Department of Psychology, was recently elected president of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) – Metropolitan Baltimore. NAMI-Metropolitan Baltimore is an affiliate of NAMI, which is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
NAMI-Metropolitan Baltimore, one of the state’s most successful NAMI affiliates, seeks to empower individuals with mental illness, their families and community through support, education and advocacy.
Dr. Scott-Johnson’s term as president of the organization is for one year and runs through July 31, 2013.
