Master of Architecture Alumnae, Cynthia Shonaiya ’98, was recently appointed to the Maryland State Board of Architects.
As a board member, Ms. Shonaiya qualifies and licenses individuals seeking licensure and issues permits to business entities through which architecture is practiced, regulates the practice of architecture, investigates complaints against licensees, as well as complaints related to unlicensed practice, and may issue a reprimand, suspend or revoke a license or permit, and/or impose a fine.
Over the years, Ms. Shonaiya has been a great supporter of our architecture program at Morgan. As a principal of Hord Coplan Macht (HCM), she serves on the board for FoAM, Friends of Architecture at Morgan. She also has been instrumental in recruiting Morgan students for employment at HCM.
Big Congratulations to Cynthia!
