Design Build Spaces Unveiled

Each year the Undergraduate Program in Architecture and Environmental Design (BSAED) in the School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P) offers a SummerDesign/Build studio. This studio has proven to be a valued asset to the curriculum, School and University for many reasons. Promoting the University and SA+P in the public view, demonstration of unique and experimental design and construction methods, contemporary cultural and environmental concerns, and providing for a sense of identity and pride among the students in our program. As well, the studio provides them with hands-on education in the many aspects of designing and then constructing a project of significant scale.

This year, the studio is being led by adjunct faculty, Architect David Lopez and BEAR Lab Coordinator, Brian Stansbury, and is focused on the student experience in SA+P and the CBEIS building.
