Re:     Maryland Charity Campaign Update

EXTENDED, EXTENDED, EXTENDED!!! Good news, the cutoff date for the Maryland Charity Campaign has been extended from December 14th to January 14th.

This extension will give many of you more time to return your pledge cards.  As we prepare to celebrate the holiday season with our family, friends and colleagues, I ask that you would remember the many needy charities within Maryland, and I encourage you to add to your shopping list an organization whose mission and good work resonate most closely with your interest.

People throughout the University are making pledges and we cannot thank them enough for their participation.

I just received a call from a husband and wife team on campus who stated that both of them are planning to donate $250.00 each to the Morgan State University Foundation, Inc.  Additionally, the team stated they were encouraging others to match their donations.  They know who they are and I really appreciate their commitment.  So, please join them and many others to increase our giving.  Remember, your unselfish donation will make life better for someone in need—a child, family, homeless person, or just someone who has fallen on tough times and just needs a boost to get back on their feet.

Be a hero and give today!

We anticipate hearing from you soon.  If you have misplaced your Maryland Charity Campaign pledge card, please stop by my office in Truth Hall, room 402 to obtain another card, or just call and we will make sure you get the items you need to participate.

Once again, thank you for your participation and for giving from your heart because “We Are All Connected.” May you and your family be abundantly blessed during the holiday season and throughout the upcoming year.
