Vote Morgan Man Albert Lewis for ‘Best Teacher’ in Steve Harvey Neighborhood Awards

TOTY-Winner

Albert Lewis, a 2007 graduate of Morgan State University and recipient of the 2013 Prince George’s County ‘Teacher of the Year’ award, is a contender for ‘Best Teacher’ in the 2013 Steve Harvey Neighborhood Awards.

“It’s really been a tremendous honor,” Lewis says. “You don’t go in to teaching for accolades, but it has allowed me on a county level to get people involved and motivated to engage students and to encourage others to provide the best experiences in the classrooms for our students.”

Lewis teaches language arts at Walker Mill Middle School, and is competing with teachers from Maryland and Virginia for the award. To vote for Lewis, visit 2013.neighborhoodwards.com/vote from any device with Internet access. Voting closes today at 6:00 p.m. EST. The Awards will take place August 9-11 in Las Vegas.
