First Place Award For Professor Sharma’s Studio

“Hydro-logic” won FIRST PLACE award in North Carolina State University Landscape Chapter’s SHIFT Greenways Navigation Design Competition. The project by Caitlin Cunningham and Walida Smith under advisement of Professor Archana Sharma, addressed the flooding prone context of Raleigh Greenways and proposed a multi-purpose rain gauge that guide users on trail flooding situations, simplified, legible directional signage and frames that direct attention to the most magnificent view sheds in the area, thus transforming the trail into a more user-friendly place.
