Ashley Jones, a graduate student in the Master of Architecture program, participated in the Minority Access, Inc. annual meeting in DC this weekend. Her presentation, “Bridging the Gap Between Art and Technology”, was recognized and positively received by the judges and student peers.
Minority Access is committed to increasing diversity, decreasing disparities and reducing incidences of environmental injustices. Their mission is to assist colleges and universities, the Federal Government and agencies of other governments and corporations of all kinds in implementing programs and providing services to recruit, enhance and retain underserved and underrepresented populations.
Ms. Jones project involved using map layers to display GIS data patterns through LED lighting.
